Other Online Comics We Enjoy- We're linking to these comics because we enjoy them, and we don't actually get anything for promoting these. (wink, wink)
Jim Brugess has simple, fun strip that shows some obvious influence from Calvin and Hobbes (that's a good thing!) We love the simple layout, and we have actually tried to mirror that with our site.
Goodbye Kitty
This one is exactly what you'd think it is (if you're as demented as us and the creator, Al Parrott). It's Hello Kitty and all the ways totally horrific things can happen to her. Amazing.
xkcd - A webcomic of romance, sarcasm, math, and language
One of the big boys, but they're huge for a reason. xkcd is a wonderful combination of weird and hilarious.
Dinosaur Comics
Who said artwork matters? Why Dinosaur Comics is great: The words rarely go with the pictures (out-of-context hilarity ensues) and the long, long set-ups almost always have a great payoff. One of those comics where you sit there for a minute after reading going "Wow."
Her! [Girl vs Pig]
Almost the exact opposite of Dinosaur Comics. Her! is just as weird as any, and is a really bizarre type of Spy vs. Spy. It's all about the silly drawings, and there's never a lot of reading. Good stuff, even if it hasn't been updated in a long time.
Cyanide & Happiness
First of all, C&H is not safe for the kiddies. It's a little off-color, sometimes crude, and always hilarious. JD especially likes this one (and xkcd) because even he could've drawn them!
Awesome People Who Deserve a Link
- For one reason or another, these people have helped us get to where we are. We don't forget those who have helped us out.
Kevin MacLeod is a great musician who provides tons of royalty-free music for people like us. We used four of his songs in our pre-launch promotional videos, and we just may use more in the future.
Comic Gallery - Design Meme
This is the code we used for the navigation on the main page. It's a wonderful, and simple little bit of script that anybody can use. We highly recommend it.
Stand-Up Comics
Stand-Up Comics is a little comic book store in Lansing, IL. It was also the location of the Zeke is Hungry launch party. The Stand-Up Guys are great dudes, and you can get some good deals on comics books if you're in the area. If you're not in the area, check out their site anyway!
Monkey and Duck Designs
Our good friends Angelique and Paul were kind enough to help us out with the design for the site. If you have any web-design needs, check out their site. They're awesome people.
More links to come as we find more comics to promote and more people to thank.
